Introduction:
My name is Shauna Diller and I teach the blended Kindergarten/1st Grade class here at QAE. I strive to provide a safe and engaging learning environment that creates confident and daring learners. Children in Kindergarten and 1st grade are filled with wonder and excitement and it's truly a privilege to guide children through this magical age. This will be my 12th year in the classroom- I am so excited to be teaching my two favorite grades!
Background:
I grew up in New Hampshire and received my undergraduate degree from Wheelock College in Boston, MA. While studying at Wheelock, I majored in child development and received my K-8 and Special Education teaching credentials. I began teaching elementary school in Southern California, and also received a M.Ed. (Masters in Education - Administration) from California State University. After meeting my husband, I moved to Seattle and began working for Federal Way Public Schools. I recently returned to the classroom after several years off to be with my sons, Jack (7) and Anderson (5). I feel very fortunate to live and work in the incredible Queen Anne community, and to be working in such a fabulous school! Go Explorers!
